What times are check-in and check-out?

Check-in at Cherrywood Lane is anytime after 3:00 p.m., and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. We will email you a personalized key code before your arrival, allowing you to settle in independently at your convenience. You’ll be free to relax and enjoy the unique accommodations at your own pace, with no lines or waiting required at the lobby. We designed our smooth check-in process to give you more time to focus on your adventure in Seward.

Are pets allowed?

Although we love animals, we have a no-animal policy at Cherrywood Lane, as we want to be conscious of our visitors with pet allergies.

Do the train cars have heating?

 Absolutely. Both train cars are fully insulated and equipped with modern heating and A/C. You’ll stay comfortable no matter the season.

What amenities can I expect from each unit?

Every unit has its own bathroom, mini fridge, coffee maker, towels, and Wi-Fi. Many cabins include kitchenettes or full kitchens. The exact amenities vary by unit, so we recommend reviewing the details on each lodging page.

Can I walk to downtown Seward from Cherrywood Lane?

It’s a LONG walk, so we think that most residents would not want to walk that far. Fortunately, it’s just a 5-minute drive! 

Do I need a car to explore Seward?

Yes! You’re definitely going to need a car to visit Seward and for all of Seward’s most stunning sites and experiences — like Exit Glacier or Bear Glacier kayaking — which are quite spread out. Having a car gives you the most flexibility and freedom to explore.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to our short seasonal business, we maintain a strict cancellation policy. Cancellations made less than 60 days before your arrival are non-refundable. We highly recommend securing travel insurance to protect your trip.

Is the Cherrywood Lane Getaway family-friendly?

Absolutely — we welcome families! Some of our cabins are better suited for groups with kids (larger layouts, outdoor space), while the train cars are best for couples or solo travelers due to space limitations.

Is Cherrywood Lane limited mobility accessible?

All of our cabins have some steps, and may be accessible to guests with limited mobility, but the train cars do require stair access. Let us know your needs and we’ll guide you to the best fit.
